In order to ensure that the residents feel comfortable at home, we have made it a priority to offer optimum safety and security. The Home is blessed with 24-hour security as well as surveillance cameras, which ultimately guarantees their safety in the Home and its surroundings as all times.
Entertainment
At Beth Shalom we aim to create an environment that is both relaxed and enjoyable for our residents. In order to do this, we regularly organise events that provide entertainment for the residents as well as their families.
Over the past few years we have featured numerous concerts by local entertainers.
Once a year a Gala concert featuring some of the top musicians in the Province is arranged. The concerts have always been a great success and is enjoyed by everyone who attends.
Clinic
The clinic is open for consultation everyday.
Regarding doctors consultations, one can inform the Sister on duty should you want to make an appointment to see your private doctor or the district surgeon. The district surgeon visits Beth Shalom once a week.
Occupational Therapist and Social Worker
The home has the services of a full-time social worker and occupational therapist
The Occupational Therapist who coordinates exercise classes, stimulation classes as well as quizess and art classes have proved extremely beneficial to the residents.
The home is proud to acknowledge that we have the services of a full time Social Worker, who is a joy to the residents and assists them greatly. She helps in the co-ordination of the new applicants applying for government subsidies.
